The Highest Honor in Baseball, The Hall of Fame

This week I’m going to introduce what I have implied in the topic, National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum. Remember last week I introduced Babe Ruth? He is one of the first five members of the hall of fame!!! Including Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, Christy Mathewson, Honus Wagner and Babe Ruth. Well…I have no idea who they are except for Babe Ruth… Although, they were once very good players…

The museum is set up for three main purpose. First, it is a nonprofit organization for eduation, which means it is probably free to take a visit in it. Only for five dollars per person. Second, people who set up the museum devoted themselves to cultivate the public getting to know the how the development of baseball have the influence to the American culture. This was done by the function of collecting, preserving and exhibiting many different historical relics such as photos, documents or meaningful matches. The last purpose is to give the highest honor to those greatest players with exceptional performances.

In order to step into this palace, players must have at least ten years of experience in MLB and also getting 75 percent of agreement in BBWAA(which means Baseball Writers’ Association of America, an organization specialize in writing baseball related paragraph.) It is really hard to be chosen as a member!! So it is always worthwhile to brag about. (XD)
